The reliable protection of hydraulic-mechanical installations from corrosion caused by electrolysis.
With the STOPCOR magnesium anode cathodic protection method, a voltage is imposed through the sacrificial anode.
Imposed voltage covers and protects large metal surfaces with much less sacrificial mass of active metal (anode).
The current is absolutely continuous and compatible for its imposition on other metals, because it is produced in a natural way.
It charges the protected metals negatively, absolutely satisfactorily, and while the surface was the anode of a galvanic element, that is, a negative oxidizing pole, it becomes the cathode of an electrolytic cell, that is, a negative reducing pole.
The protected surface is still negatively charged but its action is reversed and it is predisposed to undergo reduction rather than oxidation.
The applied voltage must be above 1 volt and the current above 10 mA.
STOPCOR is an anode for the solar water heater and not only, which is easily installed outside the installation.
It replaces magnesium rod (anode for solar), which pollutes water and is harmful to health.
The advantages of the STOPCOR method
- The device is autonomous and does not need an external power source to operate.
- The imposed voltage is channeled throughout the installation and protects it as a whole.
- It does not pollute the environment and is completely safe.
- It is not affected by any weather or other phenomena
- It does not affect the surrounding areas where it is placed.
- It has no contact with liquids or if connected to a water supply network it has no contact with drinking water.
- Provides constant voltage and tension for its entire life.
- Provides long-lasting protection.
- It is affordable due to low manufacturing costs.
- It does not require special technical knowledge for its installation.
- No intervention, correction or modification is needed in the facilities where it is placed.
- It provides cathodic protection perfectly compatible with metals because the voltage is produced in a natural way.
- Protects large surfaces compared to other methods.
